I have always loved things that where dual purpose. a few years a go when i was still cooking on cast iron instead of carbon steel i stumbled across a really shallow skillet that happed to be just the right size for a lid, and found my self using it all the time in both roles. Eventually I started making pans and had to make a mated pair for my self and now I use that pair all the time

If you get this pan you will be amazed how often you used both pans either together or independently. Whether you just want to keep the splatter down from the deep pan or are realizing that cooking an omelet in a shallow pan is like a cheat code I expect it will be in heavy rotation

I am not sure what to call this handle design since every body seems to see something different. When I first made this pattern I was trying to replicate a chip carving I had seen, to me it has initially felt like leaves, but I have heard wheat grass, dragon scale, and even layered hearts. I have made this pattern in several sizes on different items and the more I look at it the more I can see what others have told me it was. Any way this pattern was made with a single triangle shaped chisel that I rotate every time I move spots.
