This style pan has very little slope to it and because of that, you can fit more food in it as well as having the maximum size heating area of any pan. Perfect for searing stakes, reducing stew, frying fish, and really anything besides stir fry which benefits from more heavily sloped sides.

 

I came up with this design shortly after a trip to Arizona with my sweetie, at the time I wanted to make something geometric and decided to play around. In doing so I made a barbed chisel that was reminiscent of a broken gear, and although initially unintentional the impression it left behind always reminded me of the rising and setting sun.
