The blade length on this knife is 7.75" and was forged out of A2 tool steel which offers incredible edge retention, as well as moderate resistance to corrosion. A2 steel has the best qualities of high carbon steel along with some of the qualities of stainless. You still shouldn't put it in the dish washer or stab your neighbor, but its corrosion resistant enough that I have gotten away with it once or twice with mine as an experiment.... the dish washer that is. 

 

The handle is 5" long, the spine is just shy of 1/8", and the blade is 2.25" at its widest point.  

 

After years of sharpening peoples knives its important to mention this here and now, although its true that a sharp knife is safer than a dull one, its definitely not true if your not expecting it. So be warned these knives are RAZOR sharp
